I’ve been really excited about Barack Obama taking office in January.  We definitely need change in our nation, and one of the areas where I think we need it most is in encouraging alternative forms of energy.

One form of energy that I don’t think gets enough attention is residential solar power.  Solar power is a great resource for us, and it really does work.  The question for most people, though, is how — I think a lot of people would like answers to the question, “How does solar energy work?”

This is the kind of thing that I am hoping will get more attention with a more environmentally conscious president in office.  True, Obama doesn’t have the same passion for going green as some other politicians have, such as Al Gore, who has really gotten involved in the issue since the 2000 election.  However, I certainly think Obama supports finding alternative — and environmentally friendly — sources of energy.

I guess only time will tell how this will all play out, but I certainly hope that more incentives are put into place to encourage people to support alternative forms of energy, such as solar energy!
