When my husband’s recent promotion meant that we would have to move two states over, I wasn’t overly happy at first.  But then we talked about it and I realized that moving would be best for us as a couple.  We didn’t have any children, so we didn’t have to worry about moving part way through the school year. I applied for a transfer with my company and as soon as it came through we started making the plans to move. 

Within a week we were on our way!  Until we found a house that we liked, my husband’s company was putting us up in a hotel.  This was fine by me, but since we had to take all of our stuff with us, we were in a bit of a bind.  We decided to put all of our belongings in storage and I immediately started calling around to different self storage facilities to get rental prices. 

We finally settled on one that also had a branch in our current town.  We went down and were able to pay for our personal storage unit.  They also sold moving supplies and since I didn’t have the time to go around trying to find boxes, we bought a bunch from them. We really hope not to have to live in the hotel for too long, but at least when we find out house, all of our belongings are near by.
