Unemployment is at its highest and there doesn’t seem to be enough jobs. However, the bills still need to get paid so we all know we have to get back out there. Although, the same jobs I applied for six months ago which had 14 other applicants now have 40. Perhaps this is due to people finding second jobs or it may be from primary jobs being laid off or eliminated. Either way, the best thing anyone can do at this time is sharpen their skills. I know if my resume stands out above the rest then I’m more likely to get a call back.
Now is a great time to work on finishing an associate degree or accredited online bachelor degree. This is made easier by the ability to complete the program online. Also, many grant programs will fund online higher education, especially right now. This also gives an opportunity to work on interviewing skills as there are usually discussion requirements which are part of the course process.
There isn’t a lot a struggling consumer can do about the economy itself, however, they can improve themselves and make what they have to offer more marketable. An applicant with a business administration associate degree online will be taken far more serious than one without.

I’ve had a rough couple of days. It just seems like everything is blowing up in my face — my business, my in-laws, you name it. I guess it’s time to face the fact that I can’t do everything myself, so I’m quitting — quitting trying to do everything, that is.
First things first: I’m quitting worrying about my in-laws’ problems! They are drama magnets and I am sick of dealing with it. I told my husband the other night, I don’t want to keep trying to help them all the time. I just can’t try to fix their problems all the time anymore.
Business-related: I am quitting things that I can outsource, such as accounting and tax stuff, for example. There’s no reason for me to spend so much time on stuff that I can pay others to do quickly and easily. It’s just taking time away from my work.
For example, I need to stop trying to do my business taxes myself all the time. There’s too much to worry about, and what if I get it wrong because I am too stressed about everything else or I don’t understand taxation law well enough. I could get into trouble, or even just cost myself more money than I should because I don’t know what I’m doing.
For instance, if I had my business property classified as something other than what it should be, I could be paying a lot more in taxes over the next few years. Hiring cost seg engineering specialists would solve that problem. Cost segregation reclassifies property to the shortest possible depreciation, giving you more deductible expenses in the short term, rather than relegating it to the long term where it will be possibly wasted. Paying for cost segmentation services can therefore save me money in the long run — not to mention reducing my stress in the short term by giving me one less thing to worry about!

Trying to do too much myself stresses me out!

If you are a doctor or a dentist, and you have or are setting up your own practice, you will need disability insurance. This is basically something that protects you by paying you a percentage of your income every month if something should happen to you to prevent you from working — such as falling ill or getting in an accident.
Luckily, it is easier than ever to get disability insurance quotes. All you really have to do is go online. There are websites on the Internet that offer the one-stop shop approach to getting quotes from multiple insurance providers, or you can go directly to the insurance companies’ websites.
I don’t know how people would have found disability insurance for physician before the Internet. I guess they could have looked disability insurance companies up in the phone book, which works okay. Employers might have also offered disability insurance or provided information on it, though of course that wouldn’t help doctors. Professional associations such as doctor’s associations were — and probably still are — another good resource for doctors wanting disability insurance.
All of these alternate ways worked just fine back then, but none of them compare to how easy a Google search is now!

Where should you get tattoos? As a high school student, I think it’s funny and kind of sad how many people get tattoos on thier neck, arms, or other places that are visible for most clothing you wear. Don’t these people want a job some day? Not that I think tattoos are bad; I have several as do my parents, and I think they are a great artform. I just have them where you can’t see them if I wear a dress, like a prom dress. For this reason, many women elect to get lower back tattoos, which are not visible beneath business suits or dresses, but can be enjoyed and displayed during a beach day while on vacation. That was what I had in mind! I just think that you might not want your dragon tattoos displayed prominently on your face if you work for a conservative firm of some sort. Doesn’t mean don’t get one at all, just that you should think before you ink! There is a really pretty girl at school that has this little intricate rose tattoo…on her neck! Now what is going to happen when she goes for an interview? Hopefully nothing if she wears her hair down; I just think it kind of limits you is all. Personally, I think tattoos should be a little more hidden, just to be safe.
