This writer’s search for a Florida drug rehab center

They say that admitting you have a problem is the first, most important step to solving that problem. While I agree with this sentiment, mostly, I spent most of my youth watching my old man constantly proclaim “his problem” with drinking, but never actually doing anything to deal with the problem. Except drink some more.
Now as I get a bit older, I’m realizing I learned a lot from my dad. As a result, I’ve admitted, at least to myself, that I indeed have a problem. Consequently, I’m now in search for a Florida drug rehab center.
My work as an independent freelance writer really hasn’t suffered from my addictions. However, I’m smart enough (I hope!) to realize that it’s only a matter of time. When an individual “requires” the amount of pain killers to function that I do, it is clear that sustaining this lifestyle is going to be near impossible.
And it is with this in mind that I hope to find a solid, reputable Florida drug treatment center that is close to my home in Bradenton, FL. Just knowing that when the in-patient treatment is completed, home will be nearby will hopefully be enough to get me through the process.
Wish me luck!
