My Daughter’s Dilemma
Posted by MTS on 12/22/08 in Entertainment
My daughter is a good girl. She is just barely over 18, and makes good grades. She rarely breaks her curfew her mother and I set, and when she does, usually calls us. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that she is still a teenager. This being said, she has been known to do a few dumb things.
Just recently, she was driving with two of her friends to the mall which is about 15 miles away by freeway. In her haste to get there for some big sale, and with girls chatting at her, she did not pay attention to the speed. She was clicked doing 80 in a 55 MPH zone in the city. The bad part of this is that this is called “criminal speeding.” I am here to tell you my daughter is no criminal, but the police here have a zero tolerance policy for criminal speeders.
About two hours after they left home, I got the call saying where she was. The good thing was that she was not hurt, and safe. The bad thing was the talk she and I were going to have later. I now needed a bail bond to get her out as it was a Saturday, and we could not get to a bank. I called Bail Bonds Los Angeles while my wife called Bail Bonds Orange County to see how fast we could spring her. It really did not take too long to get the money to the court, and get her out. Her mom then took her shopping, and she and I had a face-to-face about safety later.
