Higher Education

I am worried about how we will pay the ever rising college costs for our children.  Thank goodness gas prices have finally dropped.  I don’t understand how that works.  One day my gas costs well over four dollars a gallon and the next day the same gas at the same pump plummets to less than two dollars a gallon.  I am spending half the amount of money on gas than I was spending just a few months ago.  With the amount of driving I do I am saving a bundle.  I am delighted at the cost reduction in gasoline and hope to reduce college costs too.

That is why I have contacted a certified college planner.  I understand that planning services have strategies to make the costs of college bearable.  They have a better understanding of how the IRS works than I do.  Furthermore, strategic planning companies can devise a plan to obtain money for students (our children) that I don’t know how to access.  Companies like this have their finger on the pulse of how to get grants; how to get better reductions on tax returns; and how to gain money for school that is tricky to access.

I read in the USA Today that there is money set aside for financial aid for college students and a lot of that money goes unused every year because people don’t know about it or they don’t know how to pursue it.
