Love of Landscaping

Today I was trying to figure out why exactly I decided to study at a golf academy. The first parts of the thread were easy to trace back. I was a landscaper, and loved it. Golf course landscapers are the virtuosos of the business. A lot of people are landscapers because it can be hot, back-breaking work and so it’s an easy job to get into: high-school students, immigrants who don’t have many connections or highly demanded skills, etc. Not me though. When I’m not landscaping, I’m gardening, or blogging about landscaping. And when I’m not doing those things, I’m blogging about gardening. I love it.
Anyway, I love being outdoors, working with my hands, sunshine and plants, so a golf job makes sense. I loved playing outside when I was a kid. Thinking about it, I remembered a video game I used to love to play called Harvest Moon. In it, you’re a boy who inherits a farm, and the game pretty much consists of running around planting seeds, watering plants, harvesting crops, and taking care of animals. It’s odd to think that I played a videogame, and here I am in the golf academy of the Carolinas. Such is life.
