An unexpected franchise opportunity

Owning a professional sports franchise was something I never imagined myself doing.  I had worked for years in the restaurant business and was quite happy making enough to pay all my bills.  I had even managed to squirrel a bit of money away for a rainy day. Then I heard about Florida baseball camps.

When my older brother came knocking on my door, it seemed that my rainy day had arrived.  He had been wanting to go into business for himself for some time and had spent the past two years saving up money and doing some research on different types of businesses he was interested in.  He had finally made his decision and had a business proposition for me:  he wants me to go in on the baseball franchise opportunity that he had discovered.  He had done all the relative research and claimed that this was a no brainer.

I didn’t even know he had been looking for a franchise opportunity, let alone one that had to do with baseball: I had assumed that he wanted to start up a business from the ground up.  But when he laid it all down for me, I could see that this was the way to go.  So I took a giant leap of faith and went in on the franchise with him.  And I’m so glad I did.
